Christmas and New Year 2012
Dear
LEKIDEA Members, Brothers, Sisters and well wishers.
We have
passed many Christmas and New Year’s eves and if God wishes this one will be a
very special one to all of us taking into account all that we have endeavored
in the past few months to build our togetherness As such, there is a need to take stock
today of where we stand, how far we have travelled towards our objectives and our internal life. The journey
may be long but has to be completed, the objectives achieved and life of every
one of us sustained.
On behalf of LEKIDEA I
would like to wish all of you, family, friends and well wishers, success,
prosperity and good health in the year
2012. Lekidea anticipates good times ahead and wish that our dreams and
aspirations materialize.. It is mydesire that we meet each other on the happy occasions of
Christmas and the New Year 2012.
For us from
Kilimanjaro living in Tanzania and abroad, specifically people from Legho Kirua Vunjo
East, the New Year carries our dreams which we all are fighting to make them come true. .
This festive season is
time to assess our achievements, pay homage to elders and ancestors, and
celebrate with family, friends and the communities surrounding mountain Kilimanjaro. New Year provides for us an excellent
opportunity to reflect on the tremendous contributions that members of Legho-Kirua Development Association (LEKIDEA) have made or are intending to make
for the envisaged development of our
motherland’s rich and diverse heritage.
On behalf of
LEKIDEA Leadership, I wish all of you a wonderful Christmas and New Year
filled with God's love and blessings. It is because of your support and love
that LEKIDEA started and continue to prosper and God being on our side it will
tremendously continue to prosper. The year 2012 will see LEKIDEA moving to
greater heights as we embark on important and milestone projects. The
Development situation in Legho-Kirua Vunjo East can neither be achieved by acting individually
nor by working in isolation. It is only working together as a team, each one of
us playing his or her role that the dream we have of making Legho-Kirua
the first in terms of habitable environment in Kilimanjaro can come true.
As challenging as it is, LEKIDEA will strive to take the necessary steps of mapping out the best way forward for the development of Legho-Kirua for our sake and that of the next generations.

This New
Year LEKIDEA will usher in new plans, make interventions and solicit and elicit contributions from Legho-Kirua
members, families and friends all over the world towards achieving the Legho-Kirua development goals, which includes roads
infrastructure, improvements on education, health and security and revitalizing
the natural environment. LEKIDEA Leadership will run the association by
assuming full responsibility, ensuring transparency, being honest to members
and other stakeholders and devotion to commitments in achieving the
association’s goals.
Those who
have not joined our effort to change our “Garden of Eden” are encouraged to do so. I would like to take this
opportunity to thank all who have joined our effort in one way or another to
revamp LEKIDEA at a high speed. Indeed the efforts are promising. You must have
sacrificed a lot to bring this association to where it is now through your
untamed voluntary contributions both financial and otherwise. What I can gladly
assure you is that your endless efforts will not be wasted; rather, the outcome
will soon be seen and the fruits will be remarkable for all generations to benefit.
Year 2011 was tough to all of us
especially in bringing us together and letting each one of us understand what LEKIDEA
is all about. Thanks to the Secretariat for their time and devotion in this
area. Indeed very little if not nothing could have being achieved without them.
Much is still expected from them and from all of us in shaping our way to
